We are female owned and run, full service literary agency pursuing excellence by championing our writers every step of the way.

Founded in Nashville in 2024 by friends Ami McConnell and Sara Wigal, Ami McConnell Literary Agency was a joyful, serendipitous happening. With 40+ years of industry experience between them, and after years of successfully partnering on WriterFest, a two-day conference to inspire, empower, and connect creatives, we’re taking our passionate advocacy for writers to new levels. We pursue excellence by championing our writers every step of the way.

We have already sold five books: one children’s book, two fiction and two non-fiction. Not My Father’s Daughter, by esteemed writers Colleen Coble and Rick Acker, was sold to Thomas Nelson, an imprint of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Inc. to be published in 2026, and Remember, a debut psychological thriller by screenwriter Patricia Shanae Smith to Datura, an imprint of Angry Robot Books, released simultaneously in the US and UK on April 22, 2025. Jew. a non-fiction political commentary by photographer and activist Alyssa Rosenheck, to BenBella Books is due to be released in 2026, and Rowdy Girl: Confessions of a Vegan Cattle Rancher sold to Bloomsbury Publishing, Inc. is due to be released in 2026.

We are passionate about representing writers with diverse backgrounds and experiences across a number of genres. We are interested in everything from coffee table books to contemporary fiction, young children’s to self-help.
